Alyth Primary School project
UKS Group secured 3000m2, Underfloor Heating and screed.
Alyth Primary School project, Perthshire is progressing well with Phase 1 now completed for the start of the Autumn term 2017. The project is being delivered by Marshall Construction for Perth & Kinross Council as part of the Hub East Central programme. The project is comprised of the alteration and extension of a Grade- B Victorian school building within Phase 1 and the demolition of an existing 1960’s primary school and delivery of new landscape and parking layout within Phase 2 which is due to complete later in the year.
The building takes a courtyard form to unite the nursery, primary and public elements of the programme and to create a protected external learning space. The principle of ‘share learning’ is key and is realised through open-plan classrooms, break-out spaces and a terrace which extends from the first floor library to overlook the central courtyard.
